Zwingli, Volume I: The Key to Finding Your Amish/Mennonite and Church of the Brethren Ancestors
Huldrych Zwingli (1484-1531) was a Swiss priest and leader of the Reformation in Switzerland. The documented story lines introduced in The Samuel Fox Diary (item #4113 and #4113HC) are continued in this book. Hundreds of early Pennsylvania Amish, Mennonite and Church of the Brethren families (Amman, Baumgartner, Groff, Meili, Landis, Weber, etc.) and 1800s Mormon families of Utah are traced to northern Switzerland in the 1500s and descendants of Zwingli. Ten groups of persons closely associated with Zwingli are identified; his mother’s family, his wife’s family, his step-children, Conrad Grebel (his student and father of Anabaptists), etc. Supporting DNA analysis is provided by Darvin L. Martin. This is "Book 2 of the Zwingli Series." (530pp. index. Masthof Press, 2018.)
Also available in hardcover (item #4213HC).
