Anticipated Release Date: Winter 2025
A continuation of Warwick Furnace, Volume I, this book covers the years 1773–2025 and includes a brief history of Warwick Furnace Farm. Originally built in 1738/39 by the heirs of ironmaster Samuel Nutt, Warwick Furnace was the fifth cold-blast charcoal furnace in Pennsylvania and the third in Chester County. Managed by John Potts, it became Colonial Pennsylvania’s largest iron producer, crafting the first Franklin stove in 1741 and cannon for Washington’s army. After nearly 130 years of operation, it closed in 1867 and transitioned into a large farm.
