Focusing on the lesser-known sections of the Tulpehocken Path in Northumberland and Schuylkill Counties, Pa., the author presents a history of the trail, from its earliest times; suggests possible variations of the trail as well as present-day locations along the Path by using contemporary and vintage maps; gives accounts of the numerous historic travelers on the trails; and connects present-day locations and people to the Native Americans who lived in the Mahantongo Valley.
