Elder Johann Wilhelm Stober (1726-1800) was born in Staffort, Germany, and died in Franklin Co., Pa. His nine children scattered to five states. This book includes the descendants of William Stover as well as his ancestors back to 1609—over 13,000 individuals in nine generations. Some names that appear in the index are Barnhart, Britts, Flora, Good, Johnson, Naff, Noffsinger, Royer, Shank, Stover, Welty, Wingert, etc. (702pp. illus. index. hardcover. Author, 2001.)

The book came expertly wrapped. The book itself is not what I expected, like another critic wrote. I’m related to the Stovers and hoped to see a few photos, but it’s nothing more than a complete compilation (text) of births, deaths and marriages. A very complete picture but not too helpful for my project. I found similar information on the Mormon’s free Www.Familysearch.org but just not as complete. This book definitely gives you the entire picture but perhaps dropped off in the generation I was looking for. Thank you!
