Joseph J. Troyer (1867-1943), son of Joseph D. and Catherine Hershberger Troyer, m. Magdalena Weaver (1871-1968), daughter of Benjamin and Anna Gerber Weaver. They raised 11 children in Holmes Co., Ohio. Joseph J. is the great-grandson of Immigrant Michael and Magdalena Mast Treier, to which nearly all of the North American Troyer families can trace their origins to.
