This book is a biography about Daniel Shelly—the dashing, controversial, and colorful Revolutionary War Conspirator of Shelly's Island in the Susquehanna River. Shelly was a Pennsylvania Mennonite farmer and landowner in Lancaster County (now Dauphin Co.) and York County. He was involved in a Tory conspiracy during the American Revolution.
