Very informative and easy to read

The story of Daniel Shelly is easy to read, and filled with references and documentation. So often, stories are just stories with nothing to back them up. This book was very well researched and enjoyable to read.

Stumbling across family history

Interesting account my ancestor. In preparing for a visit to the island’s cemeteries I stumble on this book of Daniel Shelly. My grandfather Henry went there in the mid 70’s , he would have been so surprised to hear of this story so long ago. I really appreciate the attention to detail that the authors applied to the huge task of piecing together the story.
