John M. Martin (8/29/1853-2/15/1930) of Lancaster Co., Pa., and son of Jacob W. Martin, m. Catherine H. Horst (1/16/1854-2/3/1940), dau. of David and Susanna Horst of Washington Co., Md. After living in Md. for a few years, they moved with four small children to a farm in West Earl Twp., Lancaster Co., Pa., about one mile northwest of Brownstown. They had 13 children.
