From the small farming village of Altfeld, Bavaria, Hans Peter Knorr/Knauer and his brothers Melchior and Johannes left for the colony of Pennsylvania with their families aboard the "Duke of Bedford," arriving in Philadelphia in 1751. They initially settled in the Germantown area then eventually spread into Berks County, Pa. This book details their descendants to the present day, covering nearly 3,000 individuals.
