
Squire Thon's Diary
Originally published in 1885, this booklet contains extracts from the 1860s to 1880s. Squire Charles Thon kept a diary on his life in Lancaster Co., Pa., for 41 years, 1847-1888. He was a Justice of the Peace for Lancaster Twp. for 25 years and during his lifetime traveled throughout the county visiting people, including the Mennonites. A few of the names include Baker, Bausman, Brubaker, Frantz, Herr, Hershey, Landis, Mellinger, Miller, and Shenk. (168pp. index. Gary Hawbaker, 1993.)
