Journey . . . Recovering from Anorexia
The book begins as the author's mother chronicles her viewpoint of the struggle her daughter is having with anorexia, then transitions into Ashley's point of view. Ashley tells how she copes to first hide, deny, and then triumph over the negative feelings associated with anorexia. It is written through the eyes of a 15-year-old teenager in the hope that something said might help another individual or family struggling with the same nightmare. (105pp. illus. Author, 2008.)
