In 1969 the following five places of worship were maintained all under different bishop oversight and three different conferences: Palo Alto Mennonite Chapel, Tamaqua Mennonite Church, Grand Avenue Mennonite Church, Roedersville Mennonite Church, and Pine Grove Bible Fellowship. A chapter is dedicated to each church and also includes a diary from the work at the Palo Alto Mennonite Chapel from its inception in 1948 until 1972. Since those years, more plain families have moved into this county. Recent maps have been added to the book to show the locations of these five earliest congregations. (59pp. illus.
