A Method of Prayer
Subtitled "A Mystical Pamphlet from Colonial America"; a German text with a new translation and a related hymn translated by Kirby Don Richards.
In 1694, a small band of spiritual seekers from German lands settled on a thickly wooded ridge that towers over 100 feet above the Wissahickon Creek in Philadelphia, Pa. Some say they started North America's first utopian community. This translation is the longest prose work that remains from their experiment. It is a simple method of silent, mystical prayer.
