Psalm 119 gives praise to the Word of God. It encourages the reader to study it and have reverence for it. Psalm 119 is divided into 22 parts or stanzas. They are named for the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Each stanza contains 8 verses. The first letter of each verse is that which gives name to the stanza.
