In 1900, Neversink was the southern boundary of Reading, Pennsylvania, and the home of boundless opportunity. It was the former home of the Lenni Lenape Indians. It was the neighbor of the Schuykill River and the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad. It had first class hotels and its own railroad, and it was the place to be at the dawn of the twentieth century.
