Based on letters written by Frances Smucker, this family memoir is the story of the two-year adventure of Dan and Frances Smucker in Botswana in Southern Africa. Dan and Frances were unlikely Mennonite Central Committee volunteers as they were nearing their sixties, pastoring a church, running an auto body business and farm, and caring for a handicapped daughter.
