European River Cruise,
from Budapest to Amsterdam
November 1-16, 2008
We are excited to offer this European River Cruise From Budapest to Amsterdam and would like to invite you to consider joining us on this cruise where we only need to unpack our suitcase once as we travel through five countries on three different European rivers. To see Europe in this way is an experience we will treasure the rest of our life.
We have been fortunate to reserve the last six standard cabins (12 persons) for the cruise leaving Budapest on November 2, 2008, with 75 cabins, although we can upgrade and obtain more expensive cabins as needed. All cabins are outside cabins featuring a private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, telephone, TV, hairdryer, and safe. A large lounge, library, sun deck, souvenir shop, laundry service, money exchange, and of course a restaurant with delectable gourmet meals are available to meet our needs.
It is a privilege to travel through Europe on a chartered bus or car, but there is something special about cruising along the meandering European rivers to see sites impossible to see unless you are on a ship. And to do this with a group of friends cruising together as we learn to know each other, share joys and sorrows in our walk with Christ, discuss our family history and genealogy, play games together, and mingle with the other cruisers on board ship, is a very special blessing indeed. Yes, we will be a group within a group, and it is always our goal to also reach out and share this experience and learn to know the others on board our ship as well.
One of the best features of this cruise is that all the excursions are included in the cruise fare. Virtually every port visited features either a walking tour with a knowledgable English-speaking guide, a bus tour, or both. In some cities there are additional offerings which are optional and do cost extra. Getting on and off of the ship is extremely easy as we drop our room key off at the reception desk on our way out (so they know we are off the ship). There are no long lines and very few crowds. Since the ship usually docks right in town, we are usually only minutes from parks, museums, shops, and other points of interest. For those of us who enjoy shopping, there is plenty of time set aside for that (see enclosed itinerary).
Will you join us as we tour some of Europes most romantic cities as we cruise the meandering rivers and are whisked away to the fantastic sights that beautify the riverbanks? Our ship has three decks, 40 crew members, and carries 150 persons. We are pleased to offer the enclosed $200 certificate for anyone interested in paying for the entire tour by December 10, 2007. As you can imagine, these cruise ships do fill quickly, so dont be disappointedmake your reservation now.
