Editing Services

Our editor will review your manuscript for grammatical errors, spelling errors, and inconsistencies. Once editing is complete your manuscript will be given to a designer to create the text pages and cover to your specifications. Design and editing of your book can take several months depending on the sophistication of your book.

Content and Cover Design

Our designers have years of experience and are happy to work with you to create the perfect book for you. This includes the front cover, text pages and back cover. We can also recommend designs for the interior and the cover if you are not sure what you want. If you do not have images for the cover, we have access to millions of stock images that will give your book an impressive cover. We can also refer you to an illustrator that can draw eye-catching artwork for your book. We are here to help you produce your book!

Book Binding Options

Hard Cover - the most durable binding option offered today, also the costliest. We recommend at least 200 books to keep the price down but can bind as few as 25 books for you if you wish.

Soft Cover - also known as perfect binding, this is an economical and durable binding option. This is the most popular book binding option since the cost is lower and the durability is still very good.

Coil Bound - a great option when you want your books to lay flay when opened, very popular for cookbooks.

Saddle Stitched - used for books with fewer than 80 pages this is a popular binding method for newsletters, catalogs and manuals. Saddle stitching is economical and durable.

Production Time

Printing and binding time for books has drastically been reduced in the past few years. New, automated technology enables us to print and bind perfect bound books within a week if you have files that are ready to go to press. If you need your books sooner than that contact us and we will do everything possible to meet your needs.

Hard cover book production times vary from 5 weeks to 8 weeks depending on the quantity of books that you order.

Warehousing and Distribution

Don't have a place to store your books? Not a problem, we can store them for you and send them to you or other bookstores as you need them. There is a quarterly fee for warehousing your books.

We can also sell your book on Masthof.com, in our bookstore and through a quarterly mailing list. We require a 40% discount off your retail price. We can also distribute your book to other bookstores, this requires a 60% discount off the retail price.
