| Who is Masthof?
There are several divisions of Masthof including a bookstore, publishing company, and print shop. Mennonite Family History, a quarterly genealogical publication, is also part of the family business. The business began in the 1980s with the publication of Mennonite Family History. It then expanded as the owners, Lemar and Lois Ann Mast, began publishing and printing books for the readers of the magazine. This led to the development of the original bookstore, Olde Springfield Shoppe, in Elverson, Pennsylvania. In 1997, Lemar and Lois Ann purchased Lemar's ancestral homestead dating to the 1700s, only a few miles away near Morgantown, Pennsylvania. This is the location of Masthof Bookstore and Press today.
